*I updated several posts! They are all below*
I am 26 weeks and 1 day today! I can't believe how fast time is flying. It hits me sometimes that I am going to be a parent. I know that sentance seems simple, but I can't fully describe the feeling that comes with it. It's a mixture of pure joy, anxiety, excitement and nervousness. The other thing that hits me, especially today, is preparing for the baby to come. For example, Max and I went over what we need for the baby today; crib, changing table, carseat, stroller, etc. etc. It's fun to shop for, but going over it it's like "WOAH..." NOW is the time we are purchasing them. It's not in the future anymore-it's now!
The big thing as of late has been baby bedding and a diaper bag. For the bedding and room decor I didn't want to do a sports theme or Winnie the Pooh theme or anything like that. Lot's of people do it and it looks great, but it wasn't what I was looking for. So I searched and searched and finally came across a set I instantly fell in love with! It's the William set by Nautica if you want to google it to see what it looks like. Anyway, I also discovered they have discontinued the line. That made me sad for like a second because thanks to my open schedule right now, I have been able to research and look for it in every place possible. Ebay was selling it between $200 and $400 for the set and if you know me, I love a good deal! To me, that was not a good deal. I finally found a set via Craigslist and got a really GREAT deal on it!!
*Side note about Craigslist* I was kinda hesitant to start searching on Craigslist for baby things. Maybe it was a mix of knowing it can be an online junk sale or because I am a first time mom and have this thing where everything has to be super clean or brand new for the baby, I don't know. But it's sorta became a little hobby for me to find a set at the best possible price and as new as possible. I scored with this one because the lady said her son wouldn't sleep with the comforter so she hung it on the wall for decoration and the only thing she really used was the bedskirt and diaper hanger. The rest of the set was just in the closet. I found it in Virginia and so I asked my sister-in-law Laura to check it out for me just to make sure. She verified it was in said excellent condition and that the lady had even washed the bedskirt for me! Needless to say, I am so excited about it! So, thanks Craigslist for the great deal. I will be sure to use you again!
So YAY! on the bed set. For the most part we have the rest of the room figured out and I can't wait to set it all up when we get back to Idaho!
Now, on to the pictures...Max's grandparents requested some recent pictures of the 'baby bump' and I realized I didn't have many great ones, haha. I had a few quick ones I took on my phone to get my sisters opinion on some outfits, but that's about it in the last several weeks. So, my sweet husband yesterday took some pictures of me and my ever growing belly. I have been getting more inquiries for belly shots so I hope you enjoy!!

You are so stinkin' cute! I can't stand that I am far away from you. I miss you like crazy and can't wait for the day that I get to see you again.
Your pictures are so darling! You are so much like me. I didn't want a baby "theme" either. And now that I have a boy and girl I am glad I didn't have a theme that could only go one way. Good luck with the next few months! We sure love you guys and I am so glad you are doing well!
you are still so gorgeous! i love your outfit too!
glad you guys are doing well, and that you are able to "nest" over time so you can get the best deals! :-)
i've been finding such good thrift stores and consignment shops here, oh how I wish you were here!
it does get a little overwhelming thinking of all the things you "need" but I promise, you don't need as much as you think you do, people are SO right when they say time flies and your kids grow up so fast! the things you think they will be using for so long... soon they have outgrown them!
one thing i learned, was ask other parents what their favorite baby item that they couldn't live without was, and what item they really wanted, but didn't really end up using it that much was. it helps narrow your list WAY down, but there are some good lists to start with on whattoexpect.com :-)
remember when we were telling ourselves to STOP buying baby things? hahaha!
You look awesome! Congrats on still being so skinny and pregnant! haha
So I don't mean to burst your bubble....but I looked up the bedding set you got, and found it on Toys R Us. So maybe it's not discontinued??? Anyways...I'm sure you got a way better deal! I got my Mom to pick up a set from Target, which I still haven't seen. We didn't do anything with Cameron's room before we left for the summer, so I'll have lots of cute decorating to do when we get home!
If you're still in the hunt for a diaper bag....I love my Petunia Pickle Bottom! I was like you...had plenty of time to get everything ready...so I knew EXACTLY what I wanted in every category, and have been pleased with them all. We'll have to chat next time you are on fb, and I'll let you know what I love! Glad to hear you are enjoying pregnancy so much! You are so lucky!!!
I am hoping that I am half as cute as you when I am pregnant!! It has been so fun getting to know you, you are such a good, nice person and I know you guys are going to make the best parents!! And he is going to have the cutest little room! :)
I love your shots of Pittsburgh too! We need to take advantage of it before you leave.
